🎉FBT Exemption
Gifts under $300 (GST inclusive) per employee are exempt.
Parties off-site are exempt if cost per employee is under $300.
Parties on business premises on a working day are exempt regardless of cost.
🎉FBT Tax & GST
Non-entertainment gifts (e.g., hampers, wine, vouchers) are tax-deductible and eligible for GST credits.
The $300 threshold applies per benefit, not in total.
Christmas parties are considered entertainment, even if FBT exempt, they are not tax-deductible and GST cannot be claimed.

We’ll be taking some time to rest and enjoy the festive season with our families before returning refreshed for the year ahead. Our office will close at 12:00pm on Tuesday 23rd December and will reopen at 8:30am on Monday 12th January.
